A collection of my design work

July 31, 2008

Editor, Writer, Graphic Artist, Web Designer for hire ‘aka’ What you want? Baby, I got it.

For the past 10 years I’ve been working as a publisher, editor, graphic artists, web designer and journalist. In 2003, my husband and I began publishing the Free Press Houston, a local arts, news, and music newspaper.  Other ventures have included Mango’s Cafe, an award winning vegetarian pizzeria and live music venue, Westheimer Block Party, and the Free Press Summer Fest, the city’s only massive outdoor music showcase.

I am adept in several design programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and InDesign. I really shine when I’m working on editorial and copy editing/proofreading. I have to restrain myself from editing the mistakes in a restaurant menu, or even a major magazine, and sending them an anonymous edited copy in an envelope with no return address. I also have to restrain myself from using humor in all of my work.
